Welcome to the Small Boat Club 2024 – now in our 71st Year!
The Small Boat Club is located on Stevens Ait (sometimes referred to as an Eyot), an island in the River Thames on the reach above Teddington Lock, below Kingston Railway Bridge and just downstream of the Boaters Inn pub, located in Canbury Gardens.
The club has a jetty on the Surrey bank, just downstream from the Kingston Rowing Club. Each Sunday, when the weather and water conditions permit, a Duty Officer runs an on demand ferry service for members and their guests wishing to cross to the island. At other times it’s DIY!
Visit our contact us page to get in touch and for a map of where we are. The Small Boat Club is a friendly, eclectic group of individuals and families who share a passion; enjoying lazy days on the beautiful river and relaxing on our tranquil island setting.
Members enjoy Thames river cruising, fun on the river, mooring rights, competitions and events, boating and almost anything to do with river Thames. Members of ATYC affiliated Clubs may contact the SBC secretary to enquire after the limited mooring facility available to visiting boat clubs.
